INTERNSHIP JOB DESCRIPTION
A unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the daily operations of a Division I, Southeastern Conference Athletic Department during the football season and/or off-season.
REQUIREMENTS
- Unpaid
- Full time (minimum 20 hours a week)
- Hours worked are eligible for course credit
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to work night, weekend and possibly holiday hours
- Current Texas A&M or Blinn student (undergraduate or graduate)
- Must have computer skills (MS Office)
- Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge and interest in sports and Athletics operations
- Enthusiastic, with a desire to work hard and have fun
- A team player with leadership skills
- Act with interests of the Athletics Department at the forefront at all times
- Willing and able to perform manual labor and lift up to 50 lbs
OPPORTUNITIES AND BENEFITS
- Assist with day-to-day operations for Kyle Field
- Prepare Kyle Field for game day
- Assist with set-up, management and breakdown of Kyle Field events
- Manage tours of Kyle Field
- Manage student worker schedules and daily task lists
- Assist with creating policies and procedures for Kyle Field
- Work closely with other department interns and student workers
